KinoLemon — Terms of Service

1. What KinoLemon Is

KinoLemon ("Service") is a free platform operated by Galactiv OOD ("we," "us," "our") that helps people discover others in their city who share similar taste in YouTube content. The Service is available at kinolemon.com.

By creating an account or using KinoLemon, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use KinoLemon. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

You need an account to use KinoLemon. You can sign up with email or Google.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
Your display name must not impersonate another person.
You may only have one account.
We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.

4. What You Can Do

Add YouTube channels to your profile.
Browse other users who share channels in your city.
Send and receive direct messages with other users.
Report users who behave inappropriately.

5. What You Cannot Do

You agree not to:

Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate other users.
Send spam, unsolicited promotions, or commercial messages through DMs.
Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or location.
Use the Service to collect personal information about other users for purposes unrelated to genuine social connection.
Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service.
Attempt to access another user's account.
Post or transmit content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or promotes violence.
Use KinoLemon for any illegal purpose.
Interfere with the operation of the Service or its infrastructure.

6. Content & Data

Your data: You provide a display name, city, and YouTube channel selections. Messages you send are stored to deliver the messaging feature.

Channel data: We retrieve publicly available YouTube channel information (name, thumbnail) via the YouTube API. We do not access your YouTube account or watch history.

Ownership: You own your content (messages, profile info). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and display it as needed to operate KinoLemon.

Deletion: You can delete your account at any time in Settings. This removes your profile, channel selections, and messages. Some data may persist briefly in backups.

7. Privacy

We collect only what's needed to run the Service: email, display name, city, channel selections, and messages.

We do not sell your data. Ever.

We do not show ads.

We use email only for account verification, password resets, and DM notifications (which you can turn off).

We use Supabase for data storage and authentication. Your data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure.

We use Google OAuth if you choose to sign in with Google. We only receive your email and name from Google.

8. Reporting & Moderation

You can report any user from their profile page.

We review reports manually and may take action including warning, suspending, or deleting accounts.

We are a small team. We do our best but cannot guarantee real-time moderation.

We are not responsible for the content of messages between users.

9. Safety & Meeting In Person

KinoLemon facilitates introductions. We are not responsible for what happens when users meet offline. Please exercise common sense and caution when meeting someone for the first time:

Meet in public places.
Tell someone you trust where you're going.
Trust your instincts — if something feels off, leave.

10. The Service Is Provided "As Is"

KinoLemon is a free service provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of match results, or that other users are who they claim to be.

We may change, suspend, or shut down the Service at any time. We'll try to give notice, but aren't obligated to.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of KinoLemon. This includes but is not limited to damages from interactions with other users, loss of data, or service interruptions.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll notify you via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sofia, Bulgaria.
